K Precision High Temp Cable

Next to a steel rolling mill. Around a glass melting furnace. Inside a gas turbine compartment. The temperature measurement system in these places faces two challenges. High heat. And strong electromagnetic interference. Ordinary shielded wire cannot take the heat. Ordinary high temperature wire has no shielding.

Our product combines the high temperature resistance of fluoroplastic with tin plated steel wire braid shielding. Its operating temperature is -40°C to 200°C. It is a good choice for demanding temperature measurement points in metallurgy, aviation, and energy.

The conductor is precision grade K type alloy wire. The insulation is FEP fluoroplastic. This ensures accurate and stable thermal potential transmission at 200°C.

The core is the shielding layer. After stranding the FEP insulated cores, we use tin plated steel wire for braid shielding. We choose steel wire instead of copper wire. Because at 200°C, ordinary copper wire will oxidize badly. If it oxidizes, the shielding fails. The tin plating and the steel wire have better high temperature oxidation resistance. The braid density is also 80% or more.
The outer layer is an FEP fluoroplastic sheath. This sheath fully encloses the steel wire shield. It stops the steel wire from contacting air and rusting at high temperatures.
We did tests. After running continuously for 1000 hours in a 200°C constant temperature environment, the surface resistance change rate of the tin plated steel wire braid was less than 10%. Ordinary copper wire braid would oxidize and turn black in this environment, losing conductivity. This keeps the shield grounding path effective for a long time.
The K Precision High Temp Cable has a compensation accuracy of precision grade ±1.0°C. The minimum bend radius we suggest is 10 times the cable outer diameter. The fluoroplastic sheath plus steel wire shield makes it harder.
Every reel is inspected before packing. If the goods arrive at your site and are damaged, and it is our fault, we will replace them. We pay all costs. We provide a 1 year warranty.
