Next to a steel melting furnace. Around a glass melting tank. In -50°C polar regions. Ordinary cables in these places either melt at high heat or crack at low temperatures.
Our product is a silicone rubber power cable. Its insulation and sheath are both silicone rubber. Its voltage rating is 0.6/1kV. It is suitable for fixed or mobile power supply that needs extreme temperature adaptability, excellent flexibility, and weather resistance.
The conductor is Class 5 tin plated soft copper. The single wire diameter is ≤0.41mm. The bunching twist length is very small. This ensures the cable does not break from frequent bending. The tin plating stops the copper from oxidizing at high temperatures.
The core is the insulation. We use high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. The long term working temperature range is -60°C to 180°C. For short periods, it can handle 200°C. The molecular structure of silicone rubber keeps it elastic over a very wide temperature range. It does not harden. It does not flow.
The sheath is also silicone rubber. It has very good resistance to ozone, UV, and radiation aging. It is inherently flame retardant. It self extinguishes.
We did a heat aging test to GB/T 2951. After 240 hours at 180°C, the elongation retention rate of the silicone rubber was still above 70%. At -60°C, the cable stays flexible. It passed the U bend test with no cracks. This is something PVC (-20°C) and ordinary rubber (-40°C) cannot do.
At 20°C, the insulation resistance is ≥100 MΩ·km. This is much higher than ordinary rubber cables. The dielectric loss tangent is stable over a wide frequency range. So it is suitable for VFD power supply. The flame retardant rating passes the GB/T 18380.12 single vertical burning test.
The minimum bend radius for mobile installation is 6 times the cable outer diameter.
The tear strength of silicone rubber is relatively low, about 5 to 8 N/mm. Do not let it directly touch sharp metal edges during installation. Ordinary silicone rubber is not oil resistant. If you use it in an oily environment, choose YGC-F, which has a fluorosilicone rubber sheath. Silicone rubber is quite expensive, about 3 to 5 times the price of ordinary rubber sheathed cable.
The Flexible Silicone Power Cable has a production lead time that depends on quantity. We try our best to meet customer needs. The same goes for custom products. Monthly production capacity depends on the specifications. Different models have different output.
