Full silicone rubber cables like YGC have very good performance. But their price is high. Also, the tear strength of silicone rubber is not high. It is easy to scratch and tear.

Our Silicone Insulated NBR-PVC Cable is a power cable with silicone rubber insulation and a NBR-PVC sheath. Its voltage rating is 0.6/1kV. It uses silicone rubber for insulation. This gives high temperature resistance. It uses NBR-PVC for the sheath. This material is more wear resistant. It is more oil resistant. The price is also lower. It is an economy alternative to silicone rubber cables.

The conductor is Class 5 tin plated soft copper wire. Multiple strands of fine copper wire are twisted together. The cable is very soft. It is good for mobile use. The tin plating stops the copper wire from oxidizing.

The insulation is silicone rubber. Long term working temperature is 180°C. Short term is 200°C. Low temperature is -60°C. Silicone rubber has very good electrical properties. Insulation resistance is high. Loss is low.

The core is the sheath. The outer layer is NBR-PVC. We call it NBR-PVC. This material combines the oil resistance of nitrile rubber with the wear resistance of PVC. It is harder than pure silicone rubber sheath. But it is more scratch resistant. It is more oil resistant. The price is much lower.

The NBR-PVC sheath is also flame retardant. It self extinguishes. But when burning, it produces a small amount of HCl gas. This is different from silicone rubber. Silicone rubber produces white smoke when burning. It is not toxic.

The working temperature of this cable is determined by two parts. Silicone rubber insulation can handle 180°C. But the NBR-PVC sheath can only handle 105°C. So the overall working temperature of the cable is 105°C, not 180°C. Please note this.

The working temperature range is -40°C to 105°C. The minimum bend radius for mobile installation is 6 times the cable outer diameter.

The price of this cable is about 30% lower than full silicone rubber cable YGC. It is especially good for places with oil. Because NBR-PVC has good oil resistance.
