Full fluoroplastic cables like YJ-F46 have a high temperature rating. But they have one problem. F46 material is quite hard. It cracks easily under repeated bending. Silicone rubber sheaths are very soft. Their heat aging resistance is also good. But silicone rubber itself does not resist mechanical scratching well.
Our product combines the advantages of both. It uses F46 for insulation. It uses silicone rubber for the sheath. Its voltage rating is 0.6/1kV. It is made for power supply lines that need high temperature resistance, frequent movement, or vibration. Examples are crane power supply in high temperature areas and mobile platforms in steel plants.
The conductor is Class 5 tin plated soft copper wire. The insulation layer is F46. F46 insulation ensures the cores do not break down at 200°C. It also has very low moisture absorption.
The core is the sheath. The outer layer is high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. The long term working temperature of silicone rubber can reach 200°C. It is very soft. The Shore A hardness is about 60 to 70. The minimum bend radius can be as low as 6 times the cable outer diameter. Silicone rubber also resists ozone, UV, and radiation aging.
The adhesion between F46 and silicone rubber is poor. During production, we do special plasma treatment on the F46 surface. Or we apply an adhesive. This ensures the two layers do not separate.
The silicone rubber sheath keeps the cable as soft as cotton cloth even at high temperatures. At 150°C, this product can handle continuous back and forth bending. Its bending life is more than 5 times that of F46 sheathed cable. It is suitable for dynamic installation like drag chains and hanging.
The silicone rubber sheath self extinguishes when the flame is removed. The smoke produced when burning is white silica. It is much less toxic than PVC. At the same time, silicone rubber can handle -60°C low temperatures. So this cable is suitable for alternating extreme heat and cold conditions.
The FR Silicone Sheath FEP Insulated Power Cable has a conductor working temperature of 200°C. The ambient temperature range is -60°C to 200°C. The minimum bend radius is 6 times the cable outer diameter.
The tear strength of silicone rubber is quite low. Do not let it directly touch sharp metal edges during installation.
