
Steel melting workshops. Next to glass melting furnaces. Ceramic firing workshops. Cables in these places must endure 200°C heat. They also face forklift pressure and hot slag splashes. Ordinary high temperature cables like YJ-F46 have heat resistant insulation. But they have no armour. They are easily damaged by outside force.
Our cable is a high temperature power cable with armour. Its voltage rating is 0.6/1kV. It is made for fixed installation lines that need to handle both high heat and strong mechanical force.
The conductor is nickel plated copper wire. The nickel plating resists oxidation. The insulation and inner sheath are both FEP. This ensures stable electrical performance at -65°C to 200°C. The flame retardant rating is V-0.
The core is the armour layer. Outside the FEP inner sheath, we wrap double layer galvanized steel tape. The steel tape surface is specially passivated. This resists accelerated oxidation in high temperature environments. This armour layer effectively blocks red hot slag impact. It also blocks heavy equipment pressure.
The outermost layer is another extruded FEP sheath. This sheath fully seals the steel tape inside. It stops high temperature moisture from corroding the steel tape.
Ordinary PVC sheathed steel tape cables will melt within minutes at 200°C. But our FEP outer sheath stays solid at 200°C. It keeps the steel tape from falling off. The armour layer still provides 10kN/m side pressure resistance at 200°C.
The thermal life of FEP material at 200°C exceeds 15 years. This is much higher than any rubber or XLPE material. Its radiation resistance is also very good. So it is also suitable for high temperature areas in the nuclear industry.
The High-Temp Power Cable FEP Insulated Steel Tape Armored has a long term working temperature of -65°C to 200°C. The minimum bend radius is 12 times the cable outer diameter. The bend radius is larger because of the steel tape.
This cable is very expensive. It is also very heavy. We suggest you only choose it when the ambient temperature is continuously above 150°C and there is serious mechanical impact. Examples are electric furnace short networks and main power supply next to heating furnaces. If you only need high temperature resistance and not pressure resistance, choose the non armoured YJ-F46. That costs less.
