
Underground utility tunnels. Subway tunnels. High rise building shafts. The fire control lines in these places face two problems. High heat during a fire. Mechanical impact during construction. Also rodent bites and stepping on them during operation. Ordinary fire resistant control cables like NH-KVV have fire resistance. But they have no armour.
Our Fire Resistant STA Control Cable is a control cable with both fire resistance and armour. Its voltage rating is 450/750V. It is made for fixed installation fire control systems that need both fire resistance and resistance to mechanical force.
The fire resistant layer is the core. Outside the conductor, we wrap 2 to 3 layers of synthetic mica tape. The overlap rate is 25% or more. This ensures no breakdown for 90 minutes in a 950°C flame.
After stranding the fire resistant insulated cores, we extrude a flame retardant PVC inner liner. This inner liner is a cushion between the steel tape and the cable core. It stops the steel tape pressure from damaging the mica tape.
The armour layer is double layer galvanized steel tape. We use a gap wrapping method. This provides 10kN/m side pressure resistance. It effectively resists rodent bites and mechanical impact.
The outer layer is a flame retardant PVC sheath. This sheath protects the steel tape from environmental corrosion.
This product passes two tests at the same time. GB/T 19216.21 fire resistance test Class A. 950°C for 90 minutes. And GB/T 19666 armoured mechanical protection test. We did real tests. After 10kN side pressure, the mica tape on the fire resistant layer had no visible cracks. The fire resistance test still passed.
The minimum bend radius is 12 times the cable outer diameter. Because of the steel tape, the bend radius must be larger. Do not over bend during installation. Otherwise the steel tape will deform plastically. It will press on the inner liner. This will indirectly damage the mica tape.
The conductor working temperature is 70°C. Core count goes from 2 to 61. Cross sections go from 0.5mm² to 10mm².
This product is for fixed installation. Do not use it in mobile applications. For direct burial, we suggest putting sand at the bottom of the trench. This stops rocks from pressing directly on the steel tape.
Our Fire Resistant STA Control Cable is made in our factory. Our factory has been making cables since 2001. That is 25 years now. We have our own R&D team. For OEM/ODM, we can work with your factory if it has the strength and qualifications.
