Super high rise building fire pumps. Large data center emergency generators. Subway environmental control systems. These places need high capacity fire power supply. PVC insulated NH-VV is not enough. Its working temperature is only 70°C. Current carrying capacity is limited.
Our XLPE Fire Resistant Power Cable is a flagship fire resistant cable with XLPE insulation. Its voltage rating goes from 0.6/1kV up to 26/35kV. It raises the conductor long term working temperature from 70°C to 90°C. For the same cross section, its current carrying capacity is 15% to 20% higher than NH-VV.
The conductor is a compact stranded copper conductor. The surface is very smooth. This evens out the electric field.
The core is the fire resistant layer. We wrap 2 to 3 layers of fluorophlogopite mica tape. Its temperature rating is higher. It can pass Class A fire resistance test. 950°C for 90 minutes.
The insulation is XLPE. Long term working temperature is 90°C. Short circuit temperature is 250°C. The high temperature margin of XLPE ensures that even in the early stages of a fire, the insulation layer keeps its electrical properties.
The sheath is flame retardant PVC. We can also make it low smoke halogen free polyolefin if you ask.
It passes the GB/T 19216.21 Class A fire resistance test. 950 to 1000°C flame for 90 minutes. The performance is better than Class B. Some high end products can even meet the fire resistance and heat release rate requirements of GB 31247 B1 class.
The conductor working temperature is 90°C. Under the same installation conditions, the current carrying capacity is about 18% higher than NH-VV (70°C). This means choosing NH-YJV lets you reduce the cable cross section. This saves copper consumption and cable tray space.
The voltage rating has several levels. 0.6/1kV, 6/10kV, 8.7/15kV, 26/35kV. The minimum bend radius for non armoured is 10 times the cable outer diameter.
If your site is a crowded place with low smoke halogen free requirements, choose WDZN-YJY. That is halogen free low smoke fire resistant. NH-YJV produces HCl gas when burning. It is not suitable for enclosed spaces like subways and hospital operating rooms.
The XLPE Fire Resistant Power Cable is inspected before packing. Every reel is checked. If the goods arrive at your site and are damaged, and it is our fault, we will replace them. We pay all costs. We provide a 1 year warranty.
