Armored Power Cable

Near water sources. Ecological protection areas. Subway tunnels. Hospital underground pipelines. These places need direct burial. But ordinary PVC sheathed armoured cables have two problems. Burning can produce toxic smoke. And moisture protection is not good enough.

Our cable upgrades the PVC outer sheath to a polyethylene sheath. It is suitable for power transmission and distribution projects from 0.6/1kV to 26/35kV that need direct burial, pressure resistance, and halogen free moisture protection.

The armour layer is still double layer galvanized steel tape. This provides strong side pressure resistance and rodent and ant protection. It meets the mechanical protection requirements for direct burial.

The core is the outer sheath. We use linear low density polyethylene or medium density polyethylene for extrusion. PE material has very low water absorption and water vapor transmission. It effectively stops underground moisture from penetrating and corroding the steel tape. More importantly, PE contains no halogens at all. When burning, it does not produce toxic hydrogen chloride gas.

To stop the steel tape from directly contacting moisture, we often use high density polyethylene for the inner liner too. This creates a double PE moisture barrier.

The water vapor transmission rate of the PE sheath is only one tenth of PVC sheath. It resists moisture and chemical corrosion in the soil for a long time. We did tests. In a hot and humid environment, the insulation resistance decay rate of YJY23 is more than 50% slower than YJV22. The service life is longer.

The Armored Power Cable fully meets halogen free low smoke standards. It is suitable for subways, hospitals, data centers, and other crowded places that need direct burial incoming lines. It meets GB/T 19666 and RoHS environmental directives.

Its voltage rating is 0.6/1kV to 26/35kV. Conductor working temperature is 90°C. Short circuit temperature is 250°C. Minimum bend radius is 12 times the cable outer diameter. PE sheath is quite hard.

Every reel is inspected before packing. If the goods arrive at your site and are damaged, and it is our fault, we will replace them. We pay all costs. We provide a 1 year warranty.
